Bett Brasil 2023: Discover what's new at Latin America's largest education and technology event
The event's conference will feature innovations designed to enhance audience interaction with experts and guest speakers

Bett Brasil is constantly evolving, always seeking the best format to fulfill its role as an education hub with a global reach. In 2023, Latin America’s largest education and technology event invites industry stakeholders to reflect and chart new paths based on the central theme “Education and Work for New Futures.”

“The theme was chosen based on the recognition that there is a need to create solutions that integrate basic education, new proposals and demands with higher and vocational education, and the need for innovation—all without losing sight of the goal of developing individuals capable of navigating the complexities of the contemporary world,” notes Adriana Martinelli, Director of Content at Bett Brasil

Given the breadth of the topic, the main thematic areas will be divided as follows: Basic Education (Curriculum, Technology, Assessment, Educator Development, Learning, and Diversity) and Ahead by Bett, an event dedicated to Higher and Vocational Education, which will address the topics of Employability, Hybrid Learning, Innovation, Initial Training, and the Integration of Extension Programs into the Curriculum.

“The Bett Brasil event, taking place May 9–12 at the Transamerica Expo Center, will feature six auditoriums addressing topics related to these thematic areas, in addition to the Administrators’ Forum and the new Ahead by Bett auditorium (Higher and Vocational Education). Meanwhile, the exhibition area will focus on solutions, products, and services designed to address the wide range of challenges in education,” reveals Adriana.

One of the new features of the 2023 edition is the format in which the content will be presented to the public, with four different models designed to ensure greater interaction. Below is a description of each one:

Roundtable Discussion: In this session, the discussion revolves around a series of questions posed by the moderator, two experts, and the audience. The discussion will be facilitated using Bett, an app designed to encourage audience interaction and participation, which collects the most-voted questions and comments—and thus those of greatest interest to the audience. The format is relaxed and unfolds like a conversation. No presentations or other media are used—only interaction with the experts.

Participatory Forum: Imagine an auditorium with a central stage and the audience taking part in the conversation with the experts. Two experts in the center, a moderator, and three additional chairs. Two people from the audience come up on stage to engage in dialogue, ask questions, and interact with the guests. The third chair is always left empty. When someone from the audience comes up on stage to take that third chair, it means it’s time for one of the other two audience members to step down to make room and keep the conversation flowing. This powerful space brings together different voices that intersect and reflect on education.

Panel discussion: During the panel, two experts will discuss the central theme. Each will have 15 minutes to speak, followed by 30 minutes of interaction with participants via Bett, an app designed to facilitate audience interaction and participation. The session is designed for the guests to explore concepts in depth and share practices from their careers, inspiring others and opening up creative possibilities in the world of education. The use of presentations or other media is optional.

Inspiring Talks: The keynote speaker closes out the day with thought-provoking insights and reflections that lead us to inspire new approaches to education.

How to Attend Bett Brasil 2023

Over the course of each of the four days, there will be 18 sessions with experts, 8 daily sessions dedicated to education administrators (in K-12, higher education, and vocational education), 4 workshops, 6 inspirational talks, and an extensive lineup of events taking place in the startup arena, ranging from mentoring sessions to pitch sessions

“In total, there will be more than 40 possible discussion options on each day of the Bett Brasil 2023 Conference. We hope that each participant’s experience at the event will be unique, impactful, and transformative, with the goal of expanding their connections and horizons, fostering the emergence of new ideas and initiatives,” concludes Adriana.
