The Bett Show UK, held in London, brings together people involved in education from around the world. And there’s room for Brazilian educators and administrators as well. The day began with a presentation by Juliano Griebeler of the Gogna Group, who spoke about sustainability in education. The presentation took place at the AWS booth.

The day also offered opportunities for networking and case studies. In the early afternoon, during a meeting with people involved in public education, the Paraná Department of Education gave a presentation on how the Wayground platform was implemented in the public school system, during which representatives were able to demonstrate how they overcame resistance from teachers and students. They also shared some results of a successful model for technology adoption.

Late in the afternoon, the Brazilian company Livox Internacional was introduced to the audience at the Arena, the event’s largest stage. The education startup was one of the finalists for the Gesa Awards, which each year recognizes the work of edtech companies from around the globe.

The Brazilians also walked the aisles throughout the entire pavilion, where they were able not only to learn about products and solutions but also to talk with international exhibitors. Wagner Rezende, from CAED, affiliated with the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, said he found many solutions that use artificial intelligence for student assessment. “We Brazilians at public universities are developing technology that is on par with much of what is on display here. We had many valuable exchanges,” he said.

In fact, artificial intelligence solutions took center stage at this year’s fair; they were not only used for assessment but were also designed to promote greater accessibility, learning, and engagement for all students, as well as to assist in the management of educational institutions.
