Bett UK, held in London, concluded this Friday (the 23rd) with impressive numbers: 37,500 attendees and an educational community representing 130 countries around the world. At the exhibition hall, more than 700 companies showcased their products and services.

For Brazil, being part of this story is essential to continuing to make progress in education, argues Zezinho Sobral, president of the National Council of Education Secretaries (Consed). “I came to London to participate in a truly major event—the place where education professionals from Brazil and around the world come in search of shared solutions, information, and experiences,” he said after walking through the halls of Bett UK. According to him, the fair proved to be a “space for dialogue.”

But for the members of the Brazilian delegation, in addition to enjoying the last day of the fair, there was an opportunity to visit more British educational institutions. For those interested in elementary education, there was a visit to Stebon Primary School, where everyone was welcomed by the school community. The visit to Worthgate School focused on the teaching of English as a foreign language, certifications, preparation for university entrance exams, and British vocational courses .

Activities at institutions of higher education were also included in the program. Part of the delegation visited Warwickshire College and University Center (WCUC), which offers higher education, technical, and vocational courses. Another group traveled to central London for lectures at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After discussions on the use of AI and strategies for helping young people integrate into university life, the Brazilians were given a tour of the institution’s various buildings by students.

“The visits were all very meaningful. I’m in a university building that has produced more than 20 Nobel laureates,” said Luciane Soutello, a researcher at Must University and a member of the Bett UK delegation. “Being in contact with so many inquiring minds—people who are looking at global education challenges in search of feasible solutions—fills our hearts and minds with the inspiration to build projects that will transform education,” she said.
