“Bett isn’t about showcasing what’s new, but about exploring what’s next—and what will have an impact around the world,” said Bett’s global director, Duncan Verry, during the event’s opening ceremony.

The Bett Show 2026 in London officially kicked off on Wednesday (the 21st), with hundreds of exhibitors offering solutions and services ranging from early childhood education to higher education, designed both to facilitate the teaching-and-learning process and to improve school management.

There was also a series of lectures discussing the potential of artificial intelligence, ways to improve teacher training, how to engage students in a world full of distractions, and how to develop effective educational leaders—all of which are major challenges today.

The Bett UK Delegation, composed of more than 280 Brazilian educators, leaders, public officials, and entrepreneurs, attended Bett UK, closely following all the latest developments and educational solutions at the world’s largest education and technology event.

But the news didn’t come only from the exhibitors: during the opening keynote, Duncan Verry, director of Hyve—the company that organizes Bett Global—took the opportunity to announce that a Bett event will be held in the United States in November 2027. He emphasized that the event, regardless of the country, remains essential for those working in education. “Bett isn’t about showcasing what’s new, but about exploring what’s next—and what will have an impact around the world,” he said.

The idea that the trade show isn’t about discovering something “new”—that is, being introduced to something that didn’t exist before—was evident throughout the entire exhibition hall. Hardware suppliers, for example, focused on demonstrating that they can offer integrated solutions, something that goes far beyond simply having good equipment.

Denis Brentel, education manager at Samsung, emphasized this idea during a meeting with the Brazilian delegation after the event. “The era of the product is over; we are now in the era of the solution,” he said during his presentation at the space known as Samsung KX.

One of the major topics highlighted at the booths and in the conference room, as expected, was the use of AI in education. Bridget Phillipson, the UK’s Secretary of State for Education, was one of the government officials to address the issue, arguing that we are facing a historic transformation in education, comparable to the invention of the printing press. Denis Brentel, education manager at Samsung, reinforced this idea during a meeting with the Brazilian delegation after the event. “The era of the product is over; we are now in the era of the solution,” he said in his presentation at the space known as Samsung KX.

The secretary explained that the British government has established five national goals to integrate this technology into education, prioritizing students’ digital literacy and reducing teachers’ workloads—without undermining their central role.

“AI can do so much, but it will never replace the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next, or the power our teachers have to make children feel that they belong,” she said.
