Certificates issued by USP

For the 2023 edition, Bett Brasil has entered into an unprecedented agreement with the Sérgio Henrique Ferreira Chair at the Ribeirão Preto Campus of the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEA-RP) at the University of São Paulo (USP). As a sponsor of the event, the Chair will help curate the content, featuring three panels and a workshop led by researchers and experts involved in its projects. In addition, it will issue, jointly with Bett Brasil, certificates of participation for attendees in the Bett Brasil Congress activities.

New Forms of Dialogue

In order to foster greater interaction between the speakers and the Bett Brasil audience, one of the new features for this edition is a new format for the content panels. Four different experiences will be offered in the auditoriums:

Roundtable Discussion: The discussion revolves around a series of questions posed by the moderator, two experts, and the audience. The format is relaxed and flows like a conversation. No presentations or other media are used; the discussion relies solely on interaction among the experts.

Participatory Aquarium: Imagine an auditorium with a central stage and the audience taking part in the conversation with the experts. Two experts in the center, a moderator, and three additional chairs. Two people from the audience come up on stage to engage in dialogue, ask questions, and interact with the guests. The third chair is always left empty. When someone from the audience comes up on stage to take that third chair, it means it’s time for one of the other two audience members to step down to make room and keep the conversation flowing. This powerful space brings together different voices that intersect and reflect on education.

Panel Discussion: Two experts will discuss the central theme. Each will have 15 minutes to present, followed by 30 minutes of interaction with the participants. The goal of this session is for the guests to explore concepts in depth and share practices from their professional experiences, inspiring others and opening up new possibilities for creativity in the world of education. The use of presentations or other media is optional.

Inspiring Talks: The keynote speaker closes out the day with thought-provoking insights and reflections that lead us to inspire new approaches to education.

Ahead by Bett

One of this year’s new events, Ahead by Bett, is dedicated to higher and professional education and will take place concurrently with Bett Brasil. The event will bring together industry leaders, institutions, and solution providers, featuring presentations on specific topics such as hybrid learning, employability, innovation (new teaching models), initial teacher training, and the integration of continuing education into the curriculum. There will be approximately 30 companies offering solutions tailored to this audience, in addition to more than 24 hours of content, featuring 16 panel discussions and over 40 speakers.

Bett Conect@

Another new feature is Bett Conect@, a networking and business program designed to facilitate quick, one-on-one, personalized meetings. The goal is to effectively connect providers of educational solutions with buyers from educational institutions in a setting conducive to dialogue. This will enable educators to discover the right solutions for their students by connecting with technology providers in the sector.

Managers' Forum

Each year, the Managers’ Forum highlights strategic issues in Brazilian education, including political and economic-financial aspects, as well as the digital transformation of educational institutions, their training models, and the adaptation of teaching and learning to the world of today and the future. In addition to trends, innovations, and technological solutions, the event will feature success stories of institutional transformation and best practices in management and leadership. The forum will bring together sponsors and leaders of private and public educational institutions from across Brazil, and will feature 16 panels led by experts.

Innovation

Aware of the trends and disruptions brought about by educational technologies and their stakeholders, Bett Brasil will host Bett Lab, which aims to provide the educational ecosystem with a space for dialogue between educational administrators and leaders and exhibitors, with the opportunity for mentoring.

Another attraction, which has been featured in previous editions, is the Bett Startups arena, which will feature edtech exhibitors and a speaking area with pitch sessions—presentations that clearly, concisely, and engagingly outline the key points of an idea, including information on the problem the idea or product solves, the target audience, the business model, and the competitive advantage.

In this regard, Bett Brasil is breaking new ground by introducing “Reverse Pitches” to the main event—a space where schools and investors can present their “pain points” and the main bottlenecks in their operations, and where an EdTech company can help. Bett Startups also features expert panels at the end of each day, designed to provide content that fosters dialogue among participants.
