More than 270 exhibiting brands and education startups are expected to attend Bett Brasil 2022, Latin America’s largest education, innovation, and technology event, which will take place May 10–13 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo. Exhibitors, both domestic and international, will offer activities and experiences for visitors, including demonstrations of innovative products, services, and solutions that are expected to reach classrooms across the country in the coming years. Highlights in the exhibition area include initiatives that promote the use of technology and hybrid learning, active learning methodologies such as Maker and STEAM, the development of social-emotional skills, and bilingual education at all levels—from early childhood education to higher education.

One of the highlights of the fair is the Startups Arena. The participation of edtech companies (startups focused on technological solutions for education) has been a growing trend at Bett Brasil in recent years, which is why the event has set aside a space dedicated to providing greater visibility to entrepreneurs in this sector. Among the brands already confirmed are platforms and apps designed for learning, as well as solutions that facilitate the digital management of educational institutions.

The list of edtech companies includes brands such as Árvore Educação, Nave à Vela, EscolaWeb, Escola Manager, Jovens Gênios, KUAU, Escola em Movimento, Estante Mágica, Piraporiando, and Kanttum. It also includes some fintech companies (startups offering fully digital financial products), such as the platforms Educbank, Tindin, and Isaac.

Another segment with a large number of exhibiting companies at Bett Brasil 2022 is language schools and bilingual education programs, such as Red Balloon English Solutions, Cel.Lep, International School, Simple Education, Cultura Inglesa, CNA, Be - Bilingual Education, and Thomas Bilíngue for Schools. Rounding out the lineup of exhibitors are educational groups and school systems (Eleva, Somos, FTD, Conexia, Mackenzie, Sistema Piaget, and Bernoulli) as well as programs focused on the development of social-emotional skills, such as Escola da Inteligência and Programa Semente.

Microsoft, a global partner of the event, is coming to Bett Brasil with the goal of showcasing the benefits of computers running the Windows operating system at its booth. “Windows offers solutions for both online and offline use, access to Google and Microsoft apps, and cloud storage. All of this comes with a lower purchase price, durability, reliability, and performance,” said Vera Cabral, director of education at Microsoft Brazil.

She emphasized that technology is a great ally for teachers because it offers a range of possibilities that help tailor instruction to individual students. With data analytics solutions that provide real-time information about each student, it’s possible to identify difficulties and prepare specific materials and strategies tailored to each student’s needs. “It’s important to respect each student’s learning pace,” Vera noted.

The company also attended the Bett Show UK, which took place last month in London (England), where it showcased, among other new products, a tool that uses artificial intelligence to assess students' reading levels and generate a report for teachers. The solution will also be available in Portuguese at Bett Brasil.

In addition to the exhibition, Bett Brasil is organizing a Business Matchmaking Event where participating companies will have the opportunity to connect with educational leaders and providers of educational solutions through a schedule of meetings.

Leading Figures in Education at the Congress and Administrators' Forum

In this edition, the event offers the public a new hybrid experience, featuring the exhibitor fair, the Congress, and the Managers’ Forum as in-person events, along with exclusive content on the digital platform. With the theme “Co-Creating the Education of the Future,” the Bett Brasil 2022 Conference aims to foster dialogue on lifelong education in an inclusive, equitable, and high-quality manner. The event features four days of lectures and workshops (learning sessions) with leading figures from the national and international education communities.

Among them were author Augusto Cury; Maria Helena Guimarães Castro, president of the National Education Council; Silvio Meira, distinguished professor at cesar.school and professor emeritus at the Center for Information Technology at CIN.UFPE.br in Recife; Renato Casagrande, founder and president of the Casagrande Institute and Alleanza Educação; Leo Fraiman, author and psychotherapist; and Ana Maria Diniz, advisor to the Península Institute.

Aimed at educational administrators from public and private institutions, the Administrators’ Forum is an opportunity to encourage the sharing of new ideas and real-world experiences among peers. The forum’s program will feature educators and experts in human resources management, finance, marketing, and pedagogy. The Administrators’ Forum will address relevant topics and trends in K-12 and higher education.

The Administrators’ Forum brings together renowned figures from the education sector, including the Secretary of Education for the State of São Paulo, Rossieli Soares; the Secretary of Education for the State of Amazonas, Maria Josepha Penella Pêgas Chaves; the Municipal Secretary of Education of Bertioga, Rubens Mandetta; the CEO of the Center for Innovation in Brazilian Education (CIEB), Lucia Dellagnelo; the director of the Brazilian School of Teachers (EBRAP), Guiomar Mello; Mario Ghio of Somos Educação; and the executive director of the SEB Education Group, Thamila Zaher. Journalist Miriam Leitão will be responsible for opening the Managers’ Forum.
