Last Tuesday (August 6), representatives from Bett Brasil, the organizer of the largest event on Innovation and Technology in Education in Latin America, and from Sinepe-PE ( Union of Educational Institutions in the State of Pernambuco) conducted a technical visit to the newly inaugurated Recife Expo Center. The new convention center will host the Bett Nordeste Conference, one of the region’s leading education events, on September 4 and 5.

In attendance were Bett Brasil’s operations manager, Madson Granato; Bett Brasil’s communications and marketing manager, Sheila Santana; and the president of Sinepe-PE, José Ricardo Diniz. During the technical visit, they inspected the facilities and coordinated operational details with the Recife Expo Center team. 

The main goal was to ensure that all areas are prepared to welcome exhibitors, speakers, and visitors, guaranteeing a smooth and enriching experience for all participants in the Bett Nordeste Conference.

Expectations for the event

The Bett Nordeste Conference is one of the most anticipated events in the region’s education and technology sector. The program promises a wide range of panel discussions, featuring more than 50 speakers, as well as exhibits showcasing solutions focused on technological and methodological innovations in education. 

The presence of renowned experts and industry leaders promises to enrich the discussion, foster new partnerships, and spark ideas for advancing basic education in the country.

The Recife Expo Center, chosen as the venue for the event, offers modern facilities well-suited to meet the needs of participants. The venue is strategically located in the heart of Recife and features accessible and functional facilities. 

AI and IE in Education

The Bett Brasil traveling event is aimed at educators, leaders, school operators, administrators, and managers of public and private K-12 institutions. This edition of the conference will feature a series of panel discussions centered on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) in Education: What Should We Learn?” Topics to be discussed include digital ethics, personalized learning, the emotional development of students and educators, and inclusive leadership, among other themes.

Among the speakers already confirmed are Recife’s Secretary of Education, Fred Amancio; Recife’s Manager of Innovation in Education, Marcelo Dantas; the CEO of Porto Digital, Pierre Lucena; the director and partner of Escola Vila Aprendiz, Paula Carneiro Leão; psychologist and writer Rossandro Klinjey; the founder of Instituto Hortense, Léo Chaves, and Luciano Meira, Science and Innovation Coordinator at Proz Educação.

Also on the list of confirmed speakers are Tanci Simões, educational analyst at CESAR School; Anna Penido, director of the Lemann Center for Leadership in Educational Equity; Gil Giardelli, a professor and writer; neuroscientist Carla Andrea Tieppo; Mariana Ochs, coordinator of EducaMídia; Karen Teixeira, manager at the Ayrton Senna Institute; and Alex Sandro Gomes, full professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) .
