The Bett Brasil Conference will offer a certificate endorsed by the Sérgio Henrique Ferreira Chair at USP’s IEA-RP
Transforming education in the country is only possible through constant dialogue and collaboration among the various stakeholders in the education sector. With this in mind, Bett Brasil, the organizer of Latin America’s largest education and technology conference, seeks each year to expand its support network and offer attendees new perspectives and opportunities to enrich their professional skills.
For the 2023 edition, Bett Brasil has entered into an unprecedented agreement with the Sérgio Henrique Ferreira Chair at the Ribeirão Preto Campus of the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEA-RP) of the University of São Paulo (USP). As a sponsor of the event, the Chair will help curate the content, featuring three panels and a workshop led by researchers and experts involved in its projects. In addition, it will jointly issue, with Bett Brasil, certificates of participation to attendees for their involvement in the Bett Brasil Congress activities.
“For the Chair, it is a privilege to collaborate and participate in the country’s most important education event. Bett Brasil is a remarkable forum for bringing together administrators, educators, and teachers—from K-12 through higher education—and makes a decisive contribution to improving education in our country,” says Mozart Neves Ramos, holder of the Sérgio Henrique Ferreira Chair at IEA-RP.
The topics covered in the Chair’s program will be: “Literacy, reading and writing skills, and text production in elementary school”; “Interventions to promote educator development”; “How to build a holistic education”; and the workshop “Data Use and Visualization in Education.”
Ramos also highlights Bett Brasil’s boldness in choosing “Education and Work for New Futures” as the central theme to guide this edition. The event aims to create solutions that integrate Basic Education—with its new proposals and demands—with Higher and Vocational Education and the need for innovation, without losing sight of the goal of developing individuals capable of navigating the complexities of the contemporary world.
“We are living in disruptive times, which will increasingly require people to engage in lifelong learning so that they are always prepared to perform skilled roles in the workforce. Bett Brasil hit the nail on the head with this theme!” says Ramos.
Adriana Martinelli, Director of Content at Bett Brasil, emphasizes the importance of the partnership. “The support from the Cátedra brings credibility and excellence to the Bett Brasil Congress program, highlighting Bett’s commitment to promoting high-quality educational events to foster dialogue and debate about the future of education,” she notes.
The 2023 edition of Bett Brasil, which will take place May 9–12 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, will feature seven discussion auditoriums with new interactive formats, addressing topics related to K–12 education, such as curriculum, technology, assessment, educator development, learning, and diversity. In addition, Ahead by Bett—an event dedicated to higher and vocational education—will address topics such as employability, hybrid learning, innovation, initial training, and the integration of continuing education into the curriculum. Other highlights include the Administrators’ Forum, Bett Conect@, and Bett Startups, among others.
