The Bett Show UK, the world’s largest education and technology event, set a record for attendance in 2025, with 35,000 visitors attending the fair from January 22 to 24 in London. The year was also marked by the largest Brazilian delegationto date: more than 200 educatorstook advantage not only of the fair but also of visits to schools, universities, and partner companies—all organized by the Bett Brasil team. However, more important than the absolute numbers was the quality of the learning experiences for those who attended.

For Claudia Valério, executive director of Bett Brasil, attending the event in the United Kingdom is a way to see what is happening—and what is about to happen—in education from a truly global perspective.

“We get to see the cutting edge of global education because the event in London brings together many countries, so we can see the trends and understand what to expect going forward,” she said, noting that artificial intelligence and inclusion were among the most relevant topics.

Claudia also pointed out that those who visited the Bett Show as part of the Brazilian delegation had the opportunity to network much more. “The delegation fosters many connections, whether with companies based in London, with speakers, or even with the other members of the delegation,” she said.

According to Adriana Martinelli, director of content at Bett Brasil, the participation of so many Brazilians this year solidifies Brazil’s position as a key player on the international education scene. “The significant increase in the number of participants demonstrates Brazil’s growing interest in connecting with global trends in education. This expanded presence strengthens Brazil’s representation at the event, promoting greater exchange of experiences, strategic networking, and the search for innovations that can be adapted to the national context,” she said.

The growth of the delegation brought clear benefits: greater reach, a diversity of perspectives, and an expanded impact of the event across the country. “To ensure that the main objective—fostering meaningful connections and relevant learning—was not lost, we worked to keep the group well-coordinated and focused. The connections were not only maintained but also expanded,” said Adriana.

The evidence of the positive outcome, Adriana explains, came from interactions in the WhatsApp groups, participation in technical visits, and the success of the Brazilian lounge, which became a strategic hub for meeting and exchanging ideas. “The group demonstrated a high level of interaction and mutual support, strengthening collaboration among participants and expanding their network of contacts and opportunities,” she reported.

Lessons Learned and Knowledge

International experience, by exposing Brazilian educators to other cultures, has the potential to truly bring about change. Monique Araújo, coordinator of Escola Geracional in Rio de Janeiro, said she was moved when she saw a presentation by a group of students from Hong Kong at Bett.

“It was the children themselves who presented their projects and engaged with the fair’s visitors. This inspired us to strive for greater autonomy and a more active role for our children in Brazil. We need to involve families and raise awareness to encourage children to participate more and take the lead in their own learning,” she said.

Teacher Olga Aldana Nora, from Integração High School in São Paulo, believes that participating in the week’s events provided practical knowledge and encouraged reflection. “I really enjoyed seeing software that helps teachers save time on lesson planning and grading exams, and that creates quick quizzes to assess students’ understanding,” she noted, adding that she plans to start using these new tools in her classes as early as this school year.

But Olga also highlighted the insights on artificial intelligence she encountered at the fair, during the lectures, and on her visits: “It’s here to optimize our time, but without forgetting human relationships, which are what truly give meaning to education. It’s a revolution that we must use with balance,” she said.

In addition to private companies and schools, representatives from Brazil’s public education system were able to benefit from the experience. Alessio Costa Lima, national president of Undime, acknowledges that there are many challenges in the Brazilian context, but believes he will take away important lessons and contacts to help change the situation. “It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the latest innovations for our students. We know that this is the path to improving education: making technology a powerful ally,” added Alessio.
